Industrial programmer in Pamplona, Spain.
Creator of Tyrant Suite.
I'm Eduardo Lopez Lecumberri, an industrial developer at Largoiko Engineering & Automation, a company dedicated to building special-purpose machinery for industry. I work daily with PLCs such as Siemens or Omron, robots from many brands such as ABB, KUKA or FANUC, .NET applications supporting industrial processes, and communications between devices, PLCs and external systems.
Tyrant was born on the shop floor: a WPF tool written entirely in C# on .NET, built for testing environments and for probing the many devices that use industrial communication buses and protocols. It exists so you don't have to depend on old, limited or paid applications that don't fit real plant-floor use.
Existing libraries never quite fit, so Tyrant is built on proprietary libraries written from the ground up — the core of the whole project.
The DLLs are written in C# and C++, and are what Tyrant Suite runs on. In October 2026 they'll be published as an SDK on NuGet, as DLLs for .NET/C# applications.
How Tyrant Suite was born.
The idea
The need for a proprietary tool for industrial communications testing emerges, instead of depending on several different applications.
First libraries
It starts from the ground up: proprietary libraries for working with industrial protocols and buses.
First version of Tyrant
The application starts taking shape in WPF and C#, using the proprietary libraries as the core of the project.
More protocols and tools
Tools are added for TCP, UDP, Serial, Modbus TCP/RTU, S7, converters, frame decoders, ASCII/HEX, IP scanner and ARP.
Tyrant Suite
The project grows from a testing tool into a more complete suite for industrial testing environments.
Public Beta
Tyrant Suite enters Beta: portable, free, no registration, and ready to keep growing.
